The book is a genealogy of the descendants of
John Jay Fast (1814-1891), great-grandson of Johann Nicklaus Fast (1727-1818). John Jay Fast was born in Greene County, Pennsylvania. In 1835 he married Hannah Day (1818-1899). In 1836 they moved to Fulton County, Illinois, where they lived for 35 years. Then, in 1866, they moved to Barton County, Missouri. They are buried at Barton City, Missouri. John Jay and Hannah were the parents of five daughters and seven sons. This book contains genealogies on them and their descendants for at least four more generations. The descendants of John Jay Fast have met annually on the 2nd Sunday in August (12:30 PM) since 1914. The reunion has been held at the Lamar City Park, Lamar, Missouri since 1951. |
